As The Eagle Flies 🦅

Updated: Jul 2

"Because, when life subjects you to the same pain again and again, discovering it's your own fault is unbearable"

This tale delves into the complexities of two affairs.

In As The Eagle Flies, the protagonist has shared her life with Igor for seven years and raised two children with him. However, everything changes when she crosses paths with Joseph. Their connection quickly deepens, entwining them in a tumultuous affair that forces her to choose between the familiarity of life with Igor and the unpredictable, potentially destructive allure of Joseph.

She's prepared to embark on a new journey with Joseph, but at what price?

Does he share her sentiments?

With a sharp intellect and unwavering candour, Nolwenn Le Blevennec employs elements of literature, psychology, and popular culture to explore profound questions about love, family, and identity. This book immerses readers in the intricate web of human relationships and the lengths to which we go to rediscover ourselves.

A beautiful, beautiful read. A less beautiful story. But not necessarily in a bad way. I enjoyed discovering the characters and how they work from the point of view of the narrator.

Thank you so much to the author - Nolwenn Le Blevennec translator Madeleine Hannah and the team at both Peirene Press and Tandem Collective UK for running this book tour and read-along!
