Camino Read-Along 🏝️

Updated: Jul 14

I am thrilled to be participating in the Tandem Collective Readalong of John Grisham’s Camino Island and Camino Winds.

This is my first time reading any of John Grisham's books! Alongside the novels, I received some themed merchandise to enhance the reading experience!

A special thanks to Hodder Books also!

Camino Island:

All trails became dead-ends, and initially, urgent tips faded away. The waiting game began; whoever had the manuscripts would eventually want a lot of money. But where, when, and how much?

The most daring heist in literary history targeted a high-security vault beneath Princeton University, stealing five priceless F. Scott Fitzgerald manuscripts valued at $25 million.

Despite initial arrests, both the manuscripts and the thieves vanished without a trace.

Stolen book dealings are a dark business, placing Bruce Kable on the FBI's Rare Asset Recovery Unit's radar. Meanwhile, struggling writer Mercer Mann, burdened by debt, is offered a chance to return to her childhood summers on Florida's Camino Island.

Her mission - write her novel and get close to an infamous bookseller with an intriguing collection of manuscripts.

Camino Winds:

When Hurricane Leo threatens Florida's Camino Island, the Governor orders an evacuation.

Most residents flee, but Bruce Cable, owner of Bay Books, stays behind.

The hurricane devastates the island, destroying homes, and businesses, and claiming a dozen lives. Among the victims is Nelson Kerr, Bruce's friend and political thriller writer. Evidence suggests Nelson's death wasn't caused by the storm; he had multiple mysterious head injuries.

With local police overwhelmed, Bruce wonders if the shady characters in Nelson's novels were more real than fictional. As he investigates, he discovers Nelson's latest manuscript may hold the key to solving the case, revealing truths more shocking and dangerous than any novel.
