Hysterical by Dr Pragya Agarwal is all about exploding the myth of gendered emotions.

Agarwal's exploration of the evolution of emotional language exposes the Western-centric viewpoint that underlies our understanding of emotions.

At its core, this book advocates for a fundamental shift in societal thoughts, a shift away from outdated gender norms and towards a more human-centric perspective. It urges us to scrutinise not the emotions themselves but the contexts in which these emotions arise.

This was a great read and an even better audiobook, great to see a different perspective on the topic and how we can make society better.

Thank you so much to the author - Dr Pragya Agarwal as well as the team at Canongate Books for the ARC and for providing me with a refreshing read!
