Some book bloggers don’t do personal posts, but today, I have decided to make a personal post which identifies who I am. Many of you already know I am a nurse and worked in many areas of the NHS including A&E, palliative care and now neonatal intensive care.
Alongside all of the above, the PPE of the last few years had ruined my face. Some people may say this thought is inconsequential and should not matter when there’s a worldwide pandemic. My face was sore, my skin was broken, and my self-confidence was beyond rock bottom. Linking back to this book that I stumbled upon by accident thanks to Cult Beauty. I’m probably one of the few people who had never heard of Caroline, but I was desperate to fix my skin, I thought that just cleansing, toning moisturising and an occasional face mask was skincare?!
Caroline explained everything from the basics to the gold standard approach. By reading this book, I understood what was going on, what products were right and what else I could change in my diet and lifestyle to help. By no means, my face is not fixed, but I at least have a better understanding of what my skin needs and what some of the problems are.
If you have any concerns or want to know more about skin care and products on the market then I 100% recommend this, thank you so much Caroline for giving me some hope for the light at the end of the tunnel that one day, my face and skin may go back to normal.
